My name is Michele Perrine. I've been working in the mental health field for sixteen years and have experience with all populations.
I began my career as a volunteer and then supervisor of a crisis intervention hotline.  I then worked in a group home for adolescent boys for a year before I got a job at the Department of Children and Families where I worked for eleven years.  During my time at DCF I had the pleasure of working with families to help them create healthy and successful homelives.  I have extensive experience working with children and adolescents, and I also specialize in parenting skills coaching.

For two years I worked at a community mental health agency on the North Shore where I was a clinical supervisor.  In my role there I oversaw a group home for adults with chronic mental illness and I had an outreach caseload of twenty-nine individuals. In July 2011 I left that job to devote all of my time to my private practice.

I've had my private practice in Salem, MA since August 1, 2009.  I've treated individuals ages nine and up dealing with depression, anxiety, life adjustments, school related issues, and those just looking for some direction in their lives.  I primarily practice cognitive behavioral therapy but am able to tailor my approach to meet the needs of my clients.  One of the unique aspects of my practice is that I bring one of my three dogs to my sessions.

I truly enjoy my job and I look forward to working with you.
